THE Edgemoor Hotel is the unusual setting for the latest community shred event in Bovey Tracey tomorrow.

Run by Devon Contract Waste, it provides the opportunity for anyone having a new year clear-out to have any sensitive documents such as bank statements destroyed safely and confidentially.

The community shred has visited Bovey Tracey before, and in the past taken the material away in sealed bags.

This time there’s a difference: a brand new on-site shredding vehicle will be in attendance to securely destroy confidential waste there and then for a small fee.

Charles Russell of the Edgemoor said: ‘We’re looking forward to welcoming the community to take care of their confidential papers before stepping inside to warm up with a locally-sourced pork roll.’

The shred takes place from 11 from 10am to 2pm.
