Bovey Tracey Youth Cafe showed off its revamped facilities at an open evening on Friday.

It has been given a makeover, thanks to the Community Payback scheme, where offenders help with numerous projects as part of their punishment. The facility has been given a lick of paint and has a new kitchen area. New equipment, including laptops, TV and kitchen white goods, have also been bought, thanks to grants and donations. Around 30 youngsters use the cafe on an average evening. They can enjoy arts and crafts, social activities, a game of pool, use the computers and games consoles available and watch DVDs.
