A REDUNDANT phone box in Bovey Tracey has been transformed into a new community mini-library.
The former telephone box in Cromwell Way has been restored and converted into a free book exchange for residents to enjoy.
Councillor Steve Oldrieve announced the project, which was officially opened by the town’s deputy mayor, Cllr Ulli Arnold.
The initiative was supported by several local volunteers and groups.
Mick Broome carried out the painting work, Bovey Shed built and installed the shelving, while Growing Spaces created the surrounding border.
Organisers also thanked Leslie Leggett and First Draft Books for helping inspire the idea.
The mini library will operate as a community-managed facility, allowing residents to borrow, swap and donate books freely for everyone to enjoy.
