WITH less than two weeks to go until it opens to the public, one of Teignbridge's several outdoor swimming pools is reminding its local users that there is help available with the cost of using said pool.

Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool, a community-run, historic outdoor pool on the doorstep of Dartmoor National Park, is to open for the summer season on May 27, and to ensure that is accessible to everyone it is to again launch its 'It's Your Pool Too' scheme.

Thanks to the Norman Family Trust, the pool have some extra funding to offer free and discounted swimming tickets to local people.

A spokesman for Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool said: 'We can provide free or discounted swimming tickets to local people to help you use the pool over summer.

'We don't ask for lots of personal information and we will always try to provide support, so please just email us and ask.'
