A section of the A380 will be closed each night from tomorrow (May 7) to the end of the month, for resurfacing work.
Work will take place on the southbound carriageway at Harcombe Plantation. The road will be closed from its junction with the A38 to Mamhead Cross, from 7pm to 7am every night and from 8pm on Friday nights.
A spokesperson for Devon County Council said: ‘The next phase of overnight resurfacing work on the A380 is due to start on the evening of Tuesday 7 May.
‘To undertake the work safely, the A380 will be closed each night between 7pm and 7am (from 8pm on Friday nights) from its junction with the A38 to Mamhead Cross.
‘A signed diversion route will be in place via the A38, B3344, B3193, B3193 (Strap Lane), B3195 and A380.
‘The A380 will be fully open during the daytime but, for safety reasons, a temporary 40mph speed limit will be in place.
‘The scheme is expected to be completed by the end of May.’
