A popular pantomime will be returning to the stage of a Newton Abbot church this February after a five year hiatus.

The Avenue Church is staging this popular event again following public demand. Up Hills and Down Dale is a one act pantomime written by Ken Dainton and directed for the first time by Debbie Weible.

It centres on the Hill family, ardent Sound of Music fans, who set off on their first holiday after lockdown only to run into a band of fearsome pirates lead by Captain Daggers Dale who want to thwart their happy plans.

Performances take place on February 13 and February 14 at 7.30pm, with a 5pm show on February 15. Tickets priced at £5.50 can be booked at line at ticketsource.co.uk. Refreshments will be available afterwards
