A Newton Abbot couple caring for their terminally-ill daughter are being evicted from their home.
Lauren Smith and Richard Sutton, of Keyberry Road, have been told to leave their three-bed terrace next month.
The couple have spent the past year as full-time carers of their four-year-old daughter, Megan, who has acute myeloid leukemia.
Mr Sutton said they have paid their rent on time, but relations with the agent Rendells and their landlord have soured in the last few months.
'We don't know why we are being evicted. Rendells said the reason was that the landlord could not be bothered any more because of our circumstances.
'When we came here, they said the landlord was brilliant, but he isn't. He's totally the opposite.
'We've both had to stop work, our pay has gone down and you would think they would be a bit more cooperative. In our position it is wrong what he has done. We thought Rendells would help but they haven't at all.'
The Mid-Devon Advertiser contacted Rendells for their side of the story, but neither they, nor the couple's landlord were prepared to comment.
