The Torbay and District branch of the Parkinson’s Society, which covers the Teignbridge area, is holding an open day during Parkinson’s Awareness Week.

The open day will be on Thursday April 13 at Paignton Library. The day is for all patients, carers and friends to go along for coffee and a chat, and to see how the society can help.

Organiser Terry Benbow said: ‘We hold monthly meetings in the Esplanade Hotel on Paignton seafront at 2pm on the last Tuesday of the month. This is a good starting point for members wishing to know what’s going on in the society.

‘We also offer a wide range of activities - exercise group, tai chi, Pilates, arts and crafts, and sailing, in conjunction with the Disabled Sailing Association.

‘Come along on the open day and find out more.’
