A GROUP of active mothers drummed up more than £500 for Save the Children charity over the weekend.

Twenty parents – who all met at antenatal classes just over a year ago – embarked on a sponsored walk around Stover Country Park on Sunday with their youngsters.

The Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Walk around the lake raised £512 for the children’s charity through an online fundraising page and sponsors.

Tracey Taylor, one of the organisers, said: ‘We all kept our friendship going after the antenatal classes and we thought this would be a fun thing to do to raise money for charity.

‘We had a fantastic time and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.’

Justin Wood, one of Tracey’s friends, designed a set of Peppa Pig-themed stones and hid them all around the park for youngsters to find.
