RENOVATIONS of the famous Jolly Abbot are well underway, with the pub's new owners, Bar 7, posting new photos of the progress.

It is still yet to be confirmed when the Jolly Abbot will reopen, but have revealed that they 'have some really exciting plans' for the venue.

The owners of Bar 7, Frankie and Ginge, bought the pub last month, and are planning a total overhaul of the venue.

Situated inside a Grade II listed building, the pub has been a staple in Newton Abbot nightlife for many years.
