The Ghost of Christmas Past can take many forms. These can be in the shape of old pictures from far off days that turn up and bring back embarrassing memories of occasions when things did not go to plan or when one had a bad hair day, writes Steve Harris.

I am sure many can remember times from their school days when they forgot the words of a carol or started on the third verse when the second verse was meant to be sung and hoped nobody noticed.

This week’s picture was sent in some time ago by Sue Shaw (Sue Morcombe to her school pals) but I thought I would keep it back for Christmas. It shows the Kingsteignton County Primary School Junior Choir in December 1963 resplendent in their bow ties.
