THE introduction of a second home tax for holiday homes has hit the redevelopment of a former restaurant and bed and breakfast near Kingsteignton.

Developers behind the plans for Sampson’s Farm have now launched an appeal against restrictions on the occupancy of eight new holiday units.

Rising construction costs are also being blamed for the fact the project is now financially unviable.
