PLANS to develop an air rifle range on the Heathfield Industrial Estate have been turned down.

The scheme, proposed by Mr and Mrs Eric Irish, would have resulted in the conversion of a unit in Sabre Close where the existing business is due to relocate.

On Monday, members of Teignbridge Council's planning committee discussed the application and heard it would create two full-time jobs, two part-time ones and potentially others in future.
