A £100,000 project to provide the youngsters of Chudleigh with a new skate park has moved up a gear.

Dreams of upgrading the facility in Long Meadow Park have been taking shape for two years.

Consultation with children and teenagers has resulted in drawings of the hoped for scheme which includes an extensive layout of vandal-proof concrete ramps and bowls.

The town council has already pledged £10,000 towards the cost and now clerk John Carlton has submitted a planning application to Teignbridge Council.
