POLICE are appealing for witnesses after graffiti was sprayed on shop windows in Newton Abbot.

Officers are investigating reports of criminal damage to properties in the Queen Street and Market Street areas of the town in the early hours of Saturday, June 7.

Graffiti had been sprayed on walls and shop windows, including Ricca’s, pictured.

Further graffiti appeared elsewhere in the town at a similar time, one assumes they are connected, but it is not known at this time.

A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: ‘We are working with partners as enquiries are ongoing.
