Two children were reported missing on Dartmoor this afternoon, Sunday (May 15).

The children, aged nine and 12, were reported missing by their mother who had been out walking near Haytor with a friend and another child.

At around 4pm Devon and Cornwall Police mounted a search involving approximately 15 officers and the force helicopter.

The children were found an hour later and safely returned to their mother.
