THE body of a man was found in Bakers Park in Newton Abbot yesterday morning, Sunday.
Police were called to the scene at around 11am and a cordon was put in place as emergency services carried out an investigation.
The body is of a local man in his 30s and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: ‘Police were called at around 11am on Sunday, October 30, with reports of a body of a man having been discovered in Bakers Park in Newton Abbot.
‘A cordon was put in place as emergency services attended.
‘The deceased is a local man in his 30s, and following inquiries at the scene, this death is not being treated as suspicious.
‘His next of kin have been informed and a file is to be prepared for the coroner.’
