FOR The first time ever there’ll be a political twist to the next Bovey Tracey Resident’s Association meeting.
The association, which prides itself on being non-political, has changed the usual format of the meeting due to next month’s town council elections.
Organiser and chairman Paul Beecher explained: ‘With 18 candidates fighting for just 12 seats on the council we thought it a good idea to give everyone standing for council a platform to put forward their views.’
Each of the candidates will be able to speak for four minutes only, or submit a written outline of their reasons for standing. There will then be an opportunity for questions.
Paul said: ‘The meeting starts this Tuesday, April 16 at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church Hall. If anyone wants more information please call me on 01626 835491.’
