Kingsteignton mayor Ron Peart is to continue his mayoral role for a second year.

At the full council meeting on Wednesday of last week he was unanimously voted back in by the town councillors.

After the meeting he said: ‘It’s a great honour that my fellow councillors have chosen me again for another term, and I’m looking forward to carrying on the work we’re already doing.’

Mayor Peart will officially take the mayoral chain and duties for a second year on May 3, at the next full council meeting.
