ANNE Marie Morris failed to turn up for her constituency surgery today.

The MP for Newton Abbot was suspended from the Conservative Party earlier this week after making a racist comment at a meeting in London.

Despite this, her office had stated she would still attend after the storm broke on Monday.

She was due to meet some of her constituents at the Passmore Edwards building in Newton Abbot, but they were to be disappointed after she cancelled at the last minute.

The beleaguered MP currently sits in Parliament as an independent following the withdrawal of the Conservative whip.

Her office was unavailable for comment today.
