TORY turned Independent Jacqui Orme will be representing Teignmouth Central ward with current serving Lib Dem Alison Eden.

Cllr Orme, who quit the Conservatives and stood in the election as an Independent, picked up 634 votes with Cllr Eden gaining 589.

Cllr Eden said: ‘Honestly I am absolutely relived to have won because I have a lot of work to continue supporting all residents with a range of topics include housing and every day matters.’

Cllr Orme wasn’t at the count.
