The standing councillor returns to his seat at Moretonhampstead. Conservative Cllr Mike Jeffery returned with 537 votes.

He said: ‘I thought it would be that way. I’ve lived in Moretonhampstead for more than 60 years and been serving as district councillor for 20 years so looking forward to another four.’
