WESTMINSTER whisperings suggest that Newton Abbot’s MP could be welcomed back to the Conservative Party fold.

Anne Marie Morris was banished for her use of the N word at a meeting of Eurosceptics in July, a racist blunder which drew an immediate apology from her.

Party chiefs have said her suspension is ‘indefinite.’

But social media today reported that the Tory whip could soon be restored – possibly within the next month.

News of the unconfirmed return from the wilderness was greeted with derision by some who accused her party of political manoeuvring as they were ‘just one scandal away from losing power.’
