MORE than 100 Kingsteignton homes woke up to no electricity last Sunday morning.
The power was cut after Western Power Distribution was forced to take down a telegraph pole in Gestridge Road in order to repair an overhead cable.
This caused power outages to parts of the town, and took out the electricity to 103 homes. Five of the homes were also affected in the afternoon.
A spokesman for Western Power Distribution said: ‘We had 103 customers affected at 7.30am on Sunday while equipment was made safe ready for repairs.
‘All customers had their power restored at 11.29am, but up to five customers were taken off supply later in the afternoon whilst final repairs were completed.’
Power has since been restored to all affected households.
