Power failure hits Penn Inn traffic lights.

A POWER failure affected some of the traffic lights at Newton Abbot’s Penn Inn roundabout.

The sets of lights along Shaldon Road and onto the roundabout itself were out for about an hour following the problem with a fuse.

Western Power staff were quickly on scene to deal with the cut out fuse in an electricity cabinet.

This was replaced and the traffic lights were back on about an hour later.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning.

A spokesman for Western Power said: ‘We did have an incident which affected some traffic lights and street lights.

‘We apologise for any disruption this may have caused.’
