DANNY Graymore, who grew up in Ashburton, is off to Ghana to take up a three-year contract in the government's international development operation there.
Danny, 40, was a former pupil of Ashburton primary School and Knowles Hill School, Newton Abbot, where his mother, Kay was a teacher.
In August, he, his wife Louise and three children will be packing up their home in Stoke Newington, London and setting off for West Africa.
He is to be deputy head of DFID Ghana and team leader for human development and accountability, focussing on health and education.
'I visited quite a lot but haven't lived there. I'm very much looking forward to it. It is going to fascinating. Ghana is more developed than others in West Africa.
