TEIGNMOUTH Police have praise the town’s Promenade Parkrunners after seeing them out in force again on New Year’s Eve, Saturday.

On their Facebook page the town’s police said: ‘While doing a patrol around Teignmouth today I spotted this wonderful sight! 

‘It was great to see so many people out in this weather doing a 5K park run! ‘Congratulations to all the 300 plus people participating and completing this free event.

‘It was lovely to see the community young and old coming together.

‘I must add while standing with a volunteer marshal every single runner thanked them for being there 

‘What a great start to the day!!
