A SMASHING time of the violent kind... some of the damage inflicted by window-breaking scrappers at Newton Abbot’s Swan Inn near the Asda superstore in Highweek Street.

Police were called to the area at 3am on Saturday after ‘several men’ were reported to be involved in a brawl outside the premises.

A police spokesman said no arrests were made at the time.
