A Newton Abbot mum has said she is baffled how her seven-year-old sons £500 quad bike disappeared from the family home in what appears to be a targeted overnight raid.

The distinctive 70cc machine, which is black with red and orange flames painted on the side, went missing from Tamsin Oxleys drive in Silverwood Avenue last Wednesday.

The heavy bike was bolted to a trailer and parked behind two cars.

Whoever took it would have had to lift it over the other vehicles. They must also have been very quiet as 41-year-old Mrs Oxleys two dogs were not disturbed.

I was flabbergasted as theyre normally excellent guard dogs, she said.
