A SECTION of Queen Street, Newton Abbot, is to be temporarily closed while Devon County Council conduct a survey.

The section of Queen Street from Albany Street to Lloyds Bank, which is the subject of the proposed pavement widening scheme, will be closed from Monday, September 11, for up to five days.

This closure is because of a drainage survey Devon County Council are to undertake.

The survey is necessary to 'finalise detailed design', and will likely include jetting of drainage infrastructure on the road and pavement and as such, contractors will need to temporarily restrict sections of on-street parking in Queen Street while the work is being carried out.

Business and residents in the affected area should been notified.
