A quiz team from Buckland Athletic Football Club goes on television tonight when they have their general knowledge put to the test on BBC 2's Eggheads.
Simon Glanfield, Gary Loader, Roy Holmes, Ken Loader and Graeme Davey filmed the show at BBC Scotland more than a year ago – but are not saying how they got on. 'We entered under the team name Rigby's,' said Simon 'We went up to Glasgow and spent the whole way up practising our quiz skills and we had a brilliant couple of days.
'I think we did ok overall.'
The show's host, Jeremy Vine, and the Eggheads, including Daphne Fowler and Chris Hughes, chatted to the team.
'Jeremy was asking for advice for his underfloor heating as Gary runs a flooring firm in Kingsteignton,' said Simon.
'Chris is a big railway enthusiast and worked on the railways. We were talking to him about Newton Abbot station and Daphne lives in the south west, so they were both great to talk to.
'CJ is exactly how is in on the TV and huffs when he doesn't get the questions right.'
