THE future of Kingsteignton’s BMX and skate facilities is up for discussion at a public meeting in the town tomorrow tonight. (May 31)

The BMX cycle ramp in Clifford Park was recently removed after the town council’s Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) report found it beyond repair.

A spokesperson for the town council said: ‘It’s our intention to install a replacement as soon as possible to ensure the youngsters have the facilities they need in our park.

‘We’d like to talk to all users of the ramp and park to hear their views and preferences for a replacement BMX/ skate ramp.’

The public meeting is tonight at 6pm at the Community Hall on Rydon Road.

The spokesperson added: ‘We will have Proludic at the meeting – a playground equipment company which has been selected to design and assist with a public consultation at this meeting, and there will be different design options on show.

‘It’s really important that we get the members of public from in and around Kingsteignton who will be our future users of the facilities to attend this meeting.’
