A LOCAL girl is doing her bit for the charity by putting on a cake sale and raffle for WWF and the Red Cross.

Red Murrell, pictured, who is Year 2 at St Micheal’s School, put on her first cake sale last year, where she raised over £700 for those affected by the war in Ukraine.

This time around, armed with a Blue Peter badge for last year’s efforts, Red wants to make the sale bigger and better than ever.

The sale and raffle will take place on Saturday, June 17, at 40, Exeter Road, Newton Abbot. It will start at 10.30am, and continue until all the cake is gone.
