BOVEY Tracey Library is to close for three weeks, beginning on Tuesday, March 8, so that essential repairs and maintenance work can be undertaken, writes John Balment.
The roof of the building in Abbey Road is being replaced, along with the ceiling, and some electrical fittings are also being installed.
Extra books can be borrowed before the closure and loan periods are being extended to ensure no items are due for return while it is shut.
If they wish, residents can visit the libraries in Ashburton, Chudleigh, Kingsteignton, Moretonhampstead, or Newton Abbot for public access computers and borrowing facilities.
The Bovey Tracey Library which normally opens on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, will reopen on Tuesday, March 29.
Further information can be obtained on Devon County Council’s Customer Service Centre on 0345 155 1001.
