WATER levels are still falling in Devon’s reservoirs according to the latest figures released by the South West Lakes ,
Burrator Reservoir on southern Dartmoor is currently at 35% capacity with 1,492 million litres still remaining.
In the Teign Valley the Kennick, Tottiford and Trenchford reservoirs were at a 40 % level, a drop down from 43% the previous week, with 810 million litres remaining of a total of 2,011 million litres.
Levels are still little better at the Avon and Venford reservoirs that are on 64% and 61% respectively, while Meldon in north Dartmoor has now dropped below the 40 percent mark to 38%.
On a bright note rain is forecast for this weekend with the Met Office predicting two low pressure areas to bring the damp stuff to the area from Saturday onwards.
