RESIDENTS of a Teignmouth street are demanding action over a public seat, nicknamed the 'bonking bench'.,They are fed up with drunken young people congregating around the memorial seat and causing noisy disturbances, revving car engines and even having sex on it.,The offending bench is situated at the bottom of Haldon Avenue, near the junction with Lower Brimley.,It was placed there some years ago, but in recent years has become a meeting place for youngsters, especially at night when they are on their way home from pubs and clubs.,'For some reason it seems to attract an unruly element, who engage in all sorts of anti-social behaviour, usually fuelled by drink.,'And couples often blatantly engage in sexual activities there and do not seem to care if they are seen,' said one resident, who did not want to be named.,'
