PARTS of Bovey Tracey have been left without water following a mains burst in the town.

The burst near the junction at Bradley Road and Coach Road has caused Bradley Road to be closed to traffic and traffic diversions are currently in place.

A spokesman for South West Water said: ‘We apologise to customers in the Bovey Tracey area that may be experiencing supply issues or no water this morning. This is as a result of a burst water main on Bradley Road.

‘We are currently isolating the burst so that customer water supplies can be restored while we carry out the repair. Bradley Road is currently closed to traffic.

Customers are being kept updated by text message, social media and our website and alternative water supplies are available to customers on our priority services register.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused and would like to reassure customers that we are working as quickly as possible to make the repair.’Water supplies were back on line by late morning.
