PEOPLE’s views are being sought in connection with a council-led review into off-street car parking in the Newton Abbot area.

A review group appointed by Teignbridge Council Overview and Scrutiny Committee has been charged with the strategic review to ensure such parking arrangements are up to scratch.

The group is briefed to compare off-street parking policy with that of neighbouring local authorities; its possible modernisation with the use, for example, of number plate recognition; and the effect of parking in areas for redevelopment, like Halcyon Road.
