Chudleigh residents flocked to the town hall at the weekend for the first Spring Show in years.

Organiser Carol Smart said that the last Garden Show was held in 1998 and that consultation carried out for the parish plan showed there was support for something similar.

She said: 'We had 200 entries, we're very pleased. We hope this will be the first of many.
