The stall – which sells homemade cakes, jam, jewellery and cards – started as a result of a 'community mapping' exercise carried out by leisure services at Rivendell.
This exercise focused on supporting people who wished to access community based leisure/work rather than access leisure activities on site.
Those who run the stall now have two stalls on a Wednesday in Newton Abbot and one in Chudleigh on Thursdays.
Rivendell support worker Christine Woollacott oversees the running of the stalls.
'Since we started in Newton Abbot things have grown and we now sell out every week,' she said.
Sandy, who lives at Rivendell and helps out on the stalls, said: 'I like cooking and I also like talking to the customers and putting cakes in bags.'
Fellow resident Wayne also said he enjoys selling goods and enjoys being involved in the markets.
Lee Branson, chairman of Newton Abbot Market Traders' Association, believes that the group is a great addition to the bustling market.
'Not only do they do a lovely line of cakes and jams, but the group have become well-liked and loved,' he said.
'The effort that they put in is a great credit to themselves and the market.'
