Longford Lane in Kingsteignton will be closed for essential resurfacing work during the school half term holiday week, from tomorrow, February 18.
The road will be closed each day from 7am to 6pm between Rydon Road and the A383 Ware Cross roundabout.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of Friday February 22.
Cllr Ron Peart, Kingsteignton Mayor and Devon County Cllr for Kingsteignton and Teign Estuary, said: ‘I’m pleased that this road is going to be resurfaced. I’ve worked closely with the county council’s highways officers to make sure this scheme’s done this year and I’m sure everyone who uses it will benefit when it’s finished.’
Cllr Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council Cabinet Member for Highway Management, added: ‘Resurfacing is being carried out over an extensive section of Longford Lane so every effort has been made to minimise disruption, with work being timed to be carried out during the school holidays.’
A signed diversion will be in place via the A383, Newton Road, Gestridge Road, Exeter Road and vice versa.
