Ashmoor Gymnastic Club, Ashburton, has enjoyed another successful championship competition when 40 gymnasts in five age groups took part on floor, vault and beam apparatus.
Five years age group – floor: Daisy Lewis gold, Stephanie Jackson silver, Erin Ruth bronze; beam: Anna Silk gold, Daisy Lewis silver, Stephanie Jackson bronze; vault: Stephanie Jackson gold, Sanna Sheryn silver, Anna Silk bronze.
Preliminaries – 6/7 years – floor: Amy Smart gold, Ruby Golding silver, Fran Gibbs bronze; beam: Amy Smart gold, Ruby Golding ilver, Robert Gale and Tom Irish bronze; vault: Ruby Golding gold, Tom Irish and Vinia Willingham silver, Louisa Lloyd bronze; 8/9 years – floor: Laura Silk, Megan Pearson silver, Mellissa Patmore and Hayley Walter bronze; beam: Megan Pearson gold, Lauren Smart silver, Laura Silk and Hayley Walter bronze; vault: Megan Pearson and Laura Silk gold, Thibault D'hoe silver, Millie Poat and Lauren Smart bronze.

Daisy Lewis won the overall cup in the five years age group, while the preliminaries' overall cup was won by Megan Pearson, and the intermediate by Jo Steele. The boys' overall cup was won by Robert Gale.
The William and Alberta Johns Memorial Cup for the most improved gymnast was awarded to Ruby Golding.
