Plans are afoot to scrap Sunday parking charges in rural areas in Teignbridge.
The towns of Newton Abbot, Teignmouth and Dawlish may follow suit if the trial - being formulated by Teignbridge Council – succeeds.
The move would reduce income by £76,000 but the authority said it wanted to reduce the financial burden on tax payers and promote 'social and economic wellbeing'.
