AND she’s orff! Long-serving Mid-Devon Advertiser series advertisement rep Cath King has left the newspaper business after nearly 25 years.

Cath, who lives in Kingsteignton and loves animals, has landed a job working as a receptionist at a veterinary practice in Abbotskerswell.

‘I’m very sad to be leaving my colleagues at the MDA but I’ve always wanted to work with animals. I’m really looking forward to the new challenge ahead,’ said horse-mad Cath, who notched up 23 years with us.

Her farewell bash this week featured a multitude of gifts to reflect her popularity, among them a spoof front page, the contents of which were for her eyes only.
