FATHER Christmas arrived early for Alex and Archie Cullin in Newton Abbot on Saturday.

They each received a present courtesy of the Lord of the Newton Abbot Borough Town, Keith Stokes-Smith.

Numerous presents were handed out to children in Courtenay and Wolborough streets by Father Christmas, who was accompanied by Michael Davies, the Newton Abbot portreeve and borough gamekeeper, and his wife Evelyn, the borough town crier.
