A shop owner in Newton Abbot has cooked up a success after starting a bid to help victims of last month’s Italian earthquake.
Antonio Galati, who runs the Dippiu Italian deli in Queen Street, has been serving up pasta with a famous sauce which has origins in Amatrice which took the brunt of the ‘quake.
A total of £1,025 was raised from selling produce and donations.
Antonio said: ‘I am very pleased and I want to thank everyone for their support.
‘The Rotary Club have been very helpful and donated a lot.
‘It was a terrible disaster which had a fantastic response.’
