SCOUT Leaders in Teignbridge are being asked to submit nominations to elect a new district commissioner following the controversial suspension last year of Alan Partridge.
Mr Partridge, of Newton Abbot, was angry at his treatment after building up the Teignbridge area to record numbers and has since stood down from the movement.
Steve Michaels, media spokesman for Teignbridge Scouts, said that selecting a district commissioner in the past may have been perceived as being a process done behind closed doors.
