POLICE are investigating a report of a serious sexual assault on a woman in South Devon.

The incident was reported overnight during the police's 12-hour tweetathon of live messages.

They tweeted: ‘Officers are in attendance and safeguarding is in place for the woman. '

'An investigation has been launched.'
