SIX staff have been made redundant from carpet manufacturers the Buckfast Spinning Company.

The jobs were lost at the yarn division of the firm, part of the Axminster group.

Originally ten jobs were at risk of the 150 total employed in the company but four of those staff have been found other jobs.

In addition to the six redundancies, two other members have chosen to take voluntary redundancy, one of whom had worked for the firm for about 40 years.
