AMBITIOUS proposals to brighten up and improve Chudleigh town centre feature a contemporary glass front to the town hall and town square public space for a market and community events.

The plans form part of a new report into enhancing the town centre, produced by consultant LHC Architecture and Urbanism as part of Teignbridge Council's bid to boost four town centres in the district.

The document, which has just been out for public consultation, includes widespread ideas for ornamental planting, new lighting and paving, based on the town's historic past.
